Shinjuku Ramen House, a Taste of Japan in Makati

One Sunday morning, I was in the vicinity of Pasong Tamo with a friend and decided to try some authentic Japanese Cuisine. Nearby was a compound with several restaurants that serve the best Japanese food and known as LITTLE TOKYO. Upon reaching the said compound, we chose to have lunch at SHINJUKU RAMEN HOUSE.

Shinjuku Ramen House has a variety of specialty noodles in its menu from ramen to fried noodles. A regular bowl is enough for sharing with another person so we ordered California Maki and 4-pcs Gyoza to go with the Manten Men Ramen, which is a Shoyu based soup with crabsticks, shrimps, squid, pork, vegetables in thick sauce.

Manten Men Ramen (P310 Regular) (P420 Large)

Manten Men Ramen (P310 Regular) (P420 Large)

California Maki (P185)

Gyoza (P185 for 4pcs) (P270 for 6 pcs)

For drinks, you may request for house tea either served hot or cold for free.

The ramen met my expectations whereby the noodles were cooked right and with generous amount of toppings. But the soup was quite insufficient thus we requested for an additional serving of it however was disappointed to be given a different soup which looks like a broth. For the next visit in this restaurant, will try the other variety of ramen.

The next time I will be in the street of Pasong Tamo, maybe good to try the other restaurants in Little Tokyo. It was recommended to try the place at night with the lights turned on which gives a better feel of the compound.
