Cubao Expo was just a haven for shoes that were Marikina-made and soon has evolved to a great hideout for artists, collectors and fashion junkies. Several types of stores can be found as well – antique shops, novelty shops, bars, bookstores, restaurants etc.
One of the restaurants in Cubao Expo is Penpen’s which is owned by indie actor Ping Medina.
To start our meal, ordered Creamy Kalabasa soup (P90)
Three Cheese Baked Bangus Belly (P165)
Bangus belly topped with strong salty cheese flavors from cheddar cheese, quezo de bola and quesong puti.
Crispy Liempo (P185)
Yummy pork strips fried to a bacon-like texture in pop-in-your-mouth sizes with vinegar as dip. Best so far from the other Crispy Liempo i have tried in other restaurants.
A cup of rice is priced at (P28)
